MORE ABOUT THE FOOD PANTRY!
The Food Pantry is located in the Fellowship Hall, accessible through the main entrance of the church. Donations of money can be sent to Lori Rettkowski, 8408 Williams Rd. E., Wilbur, WA 99185 or WCC, Box 253, Wilbur, WA 99185.
The Wilbur Food Pantry began in 2011 as the CPC Food Pantry. The official name changed when CPC and WLC Federated and soon after the WCC Food Pantry moved to the main campus of Wilbur Community Church.
Support for this vital project has been overwhelming. Donations come in the form of food, cash and time from those who volunteer to help the needy in our community. Every church in Wilbur, Creston, and Almira participates in the life of the pantry.
In 2020, we established the Bread Box emergency pantry for families during the Covid 19 pandemic. The Bread Box is stocked with basic food and personal items in the warmer months and winter “woolies” in the below freezing months. The Bread Box is located outside the main entrance to the church and is always available to families.
We not only help families in our community fill their most basic needs, but also help those who do not receive other assistance with their holiday meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas, & Easter Hams for any family that desires one.
